I. Chickenpox incubation period and maximum infection

Chickenpox is a viral infection, and the incubation period usually lasts 10 to 21 days after exposure to the virus. During the incubation period, a person infected with the chickenpox virus can infect others even though there are no obvious symptoms.

Chickenpox is most contagious about 1 to 2 days before the chickenpox spots appear and lasts until all the chickenpox spots have dried and formed scabs. Therefore, people with chickenpox should limit contact with people with weak immune systems and avoid contact with young children, unvaccinated pregnant women, and people who have never had chickenpox.

II. Treatment of chickenpox

Usually, chickenpox does not require special treatment and usually subsidizes on its own after about 1 to 2 weeks. However, the following measures can be used to reduce symptoms and help enhance recovery:

1. Reduce itching and discomfort: Use anti-itch cream or specialized lotion to reduce itching and discomfort on the skin. Avoid scratching the affected area to avoid infection.

2. Maintain personal hygiene: Bathe daily with warm water and mild soap. Avoid using soft towels to wipe affected skin areas and do not share towels, clothing or personal items with others.

3. Drink plenty of water: Make sure to hydrate your body by drinking plenty of water, fruit juices, and juices to keep your body balanced.

4. Control fever: If you have fever, use fever-reducing measures such as drinking plenty of fluids, resting and using pain relievers and fever reducers as directed by your doctor.

III. How to prevent chickenpox

1. Vaccination: Vaccination against chickenpox with vaccine is the most effective prevention measure. Varicella vaccine is recommended for children 12 months of age and older and adults who have not had chickenpox or been vaccinated.

2. Avoid contact with sick people: Avoid direct contact with people who are sick with chickenpox, especially during the most infectious stage. Avoid contact with droplets from the sick person's nose, mouth or chickenpox sores.

3. Personal hygiene: Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water, especially after contact with someone with chickenpox. Avoid sharing personal items such as towels, clothes, toys, and utensils with others.

4. Limit contact in communities: In the event of a chickenpox outbreak in the community, limit contact between people who have not had chickenpox and sick people to reduce the risk of infection.

5. Get vaccinated: For people who have not had chickenpox and have not been vaccinated, you should consult a doctor to see if chickenpox vaccination is appropriate or not.

IV. Diet and abstinence when suffering from chickenpox

When you have chickenpox, maintaining a healthy diet and providing adequate nutrients is important to support recovery. Here are some basic principles:

1. Eat a balanced diet: Include a variety of foods such as green vegetables, fruits, grains, meat, fish, beans and yogurt to ensure adequate supply of vitamins, minerals and fiber for the body.

2. Drink enough water: Make sure to drink enough water every day to keep your body balanced and help flush toxins from your body.

3. Avoid indigestible foods: During the illness period, limit consumption of heavy foods containing a lot of fat and sugar. Instead, prioritize eating easily digestible foods such as porridge, soup and foods rich in fiber.

4. Limit foods that irritate the skin: Avoid foods that can irritate the skin such as seafood, eggs, chocolate and nuts.

5. Follow your doctor's advice: When you have chickenpox, always listen to advice and instructions from your doctor or medical staff about specific diets and abstinence based on your health condition.

Chickenpox is a viral infection transmitted primarily through direct contact and through the air
